This species exhibits notable sexual dimorphism: males display vibrant pink and yellow hues, while females are characterized by mint green or cyan wings edged with pink. Both sexes possess elongated tails on their hindwings, a distinctive feature of the Actias genus. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eIn Vietnam, the pink spirit moth inhabits mountainous regions at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 meters, occasionally reaching up to 4,500 meters. These altitudes provide a unique microclimate of warm days and cooler nights, which is essential for their development. While their specific host plants in the wild remain uncertain, captive breeding has shown that larvae thrive on plants from the Anacardiaceae family, such as Rhus typhina (staghorn sumac) and Cotinus coggygria (smoke tree).
